Awareness Programmes
ANTI-DRUG AWARENESS INITIATIVE
As part of its outreach and innovative educational initiatives, E.M.E.A. Training College regularly organizes Anti-Drug Awareness Programmes with the objective of promoting a healthy, responsible, and drug-free society. These programmes are conducted in nearby schools and educational institutions, as well as through Teaching Internship activities, enabling student teachers to actively engage with school students and create awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The initiative aims to educate students on the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug abuse while encouraging them to make informed and responsible life choices. Through awareness talks, poster presentations, interactive discussions, skits, audiovisual presentations, and other activity-based learning methods, student teachers effectively communicate the importance of leading a healthy and value-based life.
The Anti-Drug Awareness Initiative also serves as a platform for student teachers to integrate classroom learning with community engagement. By planning and conducting awareness programmes independently, they develop essential teaching, communication, leadership, and organizational skills while fulfilling their social responsibility as future educators.
The institution has been consistently conducting these awareness programmes over the years as part of its commitment to community outreach and social well-being. The active participation of student teachers and school students has made the initiative meaningful and impactful, contributing to the promotion of health awareness, responsible citizenship, and a drug-free society.
