Blood Donation Camp

​As part of the Student Initiatives of EMEA Training College, Kondotty, a Blood Donation Camp was successfully conducted on 26 March 2026 at EMEA Training College and EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty. The programme was jointly organized by NSS Unit 262 (EMEA Training College) and NSS Units 102 & 115 (EMEA College of Arts and Science) in collaboration with Lions International.


​The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Justin Thambi Kumar, Chairman of Lions Club, Calicut, who appreciated the efforts of the NSS Units in organizing a life-saving initiative and highlighted the role of Lions International in promoting humanitarian service. The programme was presided over by Principal Abdul Kadar Parambat, while Dr. Maya P. V., NSS Programme Officer, welcomed the gathering. Felicitations were offered by Sri Chandran Nair MN, Dr. Hafsa Mol, and Mr. Mubashir, NSS Programme Officer, EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty.


​Following the inaugural session, the blood donation process was carried out under the supervision of medical professionals. Necessary health screenings were conducted for all donors, and the programme strictly adhered to all prescribed safety and hygiene protocols. NSS volunteers efficiently coordinated the registration process, guided the donors, assisted the medical team, and arranged refreshments for all participants.


​The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff, creating awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraging the spirit of community service. A total of 15 NSS volunteers, including 8 junior volunteers and 7 senior volunteers, donated blood, and the camp successfully collected 70 units of blood.


​The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the donors. The organisers expressed their sincere gratitude to Lions International, the medical team, NSS volunteers, and all the donors for their wholehearted support in making the Blood Donation Camp a meaningful and successful initiative towards community welfare.
