Tutor-Ward/Mentor-Mentee

The Tutor-Ward system is an effective mentoring approach implemented in many colleges to provide personalized support and guidance to students throughout their academic journey. Under this system, each student (referred to as a "ward") is assigned a faculty member (the "tutor") who acts as a mentor. The tutor regularly interacts with their wards to discuss academic progress, address any concerns or challenges, and offer advice on both academic and personal matters.
This system fosters a close relationship between students and faculty, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed. It also creates a safe space where students can openly discuss their difficulties, seek guidance, and gain motivation. Tutors help students navigate the demands of their courses, plan their academic paths, and build the self-confidence necessary to excel. The Tutor-Ward system ultimately aims to enhance student well-being, improve academic outcomes, and create a nurturing educational environment.
